We will then discuss the goals for your massage as well as what your daily life looks like both at work and play. This info along with any medical concerns will help to determine the structure of your massage. Please be sure to mention if you have any allergies.
Once in the treatment room, the therapist will leave you to undress in private. Women should remove their bras, underwear is left on or removed based on your preference. You will lay on the table under the sheet & blanket. Throughout your massage, only the portion of you that is being worked will be un-draped. (The exception to this is if you are receiving the Body Stretch Massage – this massage is done fully clothed)
If at anytime during your massage the pressure is not what you need, feel free to speak up. Hurts so good is ok as long as you are breathing through it. If the pressure is causing you to hold your breath or brace your muscles, the body will not receive the full benefits of the massage.
To talk or not…
It’s up to you! Some clients want to talk during their massage, others prefer the quiet. I take my cue from you. I will check in regarding the pressure and may ask you to move a limb or resist a movement to engage a muscle.
Once your massage is complete, please feel free to stay on the table for a few moments to let the work settle into your body.
